I just realised I had not properly used my new HD camera on the Bixler plane, apart from a quick attempt in Cornwall, where I nearly lost the plane due to the blade snapping off! So I strapped the camera on and took it for an evening flight. The only problem with the Toshiba camera is the sound, the quality is really poor. Im not sure if its just mine but the microphone creates a lot of background fuzz. It doesn't matter, the sun set looked good anyway!
This video is taken above the old Weston-super-Mare airfield, soon to be houses... You can just see the coastline in the distance, towards the end of the video I started to try and dodge the hay bales - not very good at it though...
Don't worry the lightning bolt is not real!!
